Job summary

Kinaxis is seeking a co-op/intern in Ottawa to join the Product Verification team. You will design and maintain automated tests for Kinaxis Maestro and AI-powered solutions, contributing to end-to-end validation and regression pipelines.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled full-time in CS/SE/CE program and progressing toward graduation.
  • Familiarity with AI concepts and AI tools is required.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms and web/app/server/database stacks.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to test activities throughout the feature development lifecycle.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for product features and end-to-end workflows.
  • Support regression suites and test pipelines maintenance.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and test scenarios.
  • Translate use cases into test scenarios and automated coverage.
  • Execute tests, analyze results, and investigate defects.
  • Report defects and assist with timely resolutions.
  • Learn new tools and testing approaches to improve quality.

About The Team

As part of our Product Verification team, you will help ensure the quality of Kinaxis Maestro and related AI-powered solutions used by customers worldwide. This role brings together two closely connected areas of Product Verification: end-to-end test development and release regression validation. You will contribute to the design, development, execution, and analysis of automated tests for product features and business workflows, while also helping maintain regression suites and pipelines that validate build health and release readiness. In this fast-paced environment, you will work closely with development and verification teams, learn quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and help deliver high-quality results that support exceptional customer experiences.

Location

You must be in the Ottawa, Canada office at least three days a week.

Term Duration

This is a full-time, 8, or 12-month position, starting January 2027.

Co-op / Intern Eligibility

This position is open to co-ops and interns. To be eligible, you must be currently enrolled in full-time education or be a recent/upcoming graduate within 12 months of the placement end date.

Compensation range

$25.24 - $37.02 hourly rate. The final offer within this range will reflect the candidate's skills, year of education, and experience.

What You Will Do
  • Contribute to test activities throughout the feature development lifecycle.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for product features and end-to-end workflows.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of regression suites and test pipelines.
  • Work with development and verification teams to understand requirements, identify test scenarios, and validate functionality.
  • Translate business use cases into test scenarios and automated test coverage.
  • Execute tests, analyze results, and help investigate failures and product defects.
  • Report defects clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support timely resolution.
  • Continuously learn new tools, technologies, and testing approaches that improve quality and efficiency.
  • Contribute to additional projects and team initiatives as assigned.
What We Are Looking For
  • Completion of the 2nd year of a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering program
  • E xperience with AI agent, AI skills
  • Understanding of AI/LLM concepts
  • Familiarity with automation and orchestration tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins
  • Experience with one or more programming languages or technologies such such as Python, TypeScript, Java, JavaScript, PowerShell, JSON, or Terraform
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Understanding of web, application server, and database tiers.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and self-management skills.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or Databricks
  • Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools
