Job summary

Kinaxis Inc. in Ottawa, ON is hiring a co-op/intern IT Services role to provide end-user hardware and software support from our Kanata West headquarters. You will handle tickets, install and configure equipment, and assist in testing systems, while working in a global, fast-paced environment.

This 12-month, on-site position starts January 2027 and is open to students or recent graduates enrolled in full-time education. Strong communication, teamwork and a customer‑focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• College diploma in a related discipline with 1+ years in a customer-focused role.
• Experience supporting macOS and Windows 10/11 users.
• Knowledge of Office 365, MS Teams, SharePoint, and BitLocker.
• Experience with Active Directory users and computers.
• Familiarity with ticketing software.
• Ability to work remotely within a global team.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive end-user support via phone, face-to-face and online channels.
• Work from a queue of tickets tied to Kinaxis Corporate IT services and meet SLAs.
• Escalate unresolved issues appropriately.
• Install and configure software and hardware for end users and IT infrastructure.
• Assist in testing systems developed in-house and cloud-hosted.
• Maintain asset information and manage access controls per policy.
• Support on-site setup of multiple workstations and related tasks.
• Interact with third-party providers for hardware warranties as needed.

About the team

As a member of our IT Services team, you will provide superior support to our employees to ensure they have effective use of their computer, software and network. You will be responsible for providing support for hardware, software and application support and assist the team ongoing projects.

Location

This is an on-site position. You must be in the Ottawa, Canada office, five days a week.

Term Duration

This is a full-time, 12-month position, starting January 2027.

Co-op / Intern Eligibility

This position is open to co-ops and interns. To be eligible, you must be currently enrolled in full-time education or be a recent/upcoming graduate within 12 months of the placement end date.

Compensation range

$19.46 - $28.55 hourly rate. The final offer within this range will reflect the candidate’s skills, year of education, and experience.

What you will do

• Provide responsive and friendly telephone, face-to-face and online support to Kinaxis end-users who are distributed globally
• Work from a queue of tickets logged against systems/services supported by Kinaxis Corporate IT, staying within our SLA
• Ensure proper escalation occurs for unresolved issues
• Install and configure software and hardware for end users and the IT infrastructure
• Assist in testing systems both developed in-house and hosted in the cloud
• Provide guidance and best practices on IT services to end users
• Assist the team in the set-up, testing of multiple workstations
• Asset Management to help the team maintain accurate information of IT assets
• Create user accounts and manage access control based on company policies
• Occasionally interact with third party providers from a hardware warrantee perspective
• Must be onsite to support Kinaxis’ current and new headquarters in Kanata West
• May perform additional projects upon request

What we are looking for

• College diploma in a related discipline and 1+ years relevant experience in a customer-focused environment working with global end users
• Strong knowledge supporting hardware and OS issues (macOS and Windows 10&11), Office 365, MS Teams, SharePoint, and BitLocker.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory Users and Computers
• Basic knowledge of ticket handling software
• Familiarity with End-Point management tool to provide support remotely
• Ability to effectively work as a team while delivering and supporting IT solutions to global resources while being managed remotely
• Ability to work independently and remotely within a team environment and effectively follow direction and proceduresAbility to prioritize effectively and work on concurrent tasks
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing to global users
• Excellent customer service skills
• Self motivated
• Ability to adapt rapidly to dynamic and changing environments

Things that would definitely help

• Cisco or Microsoft certifications
• TCP/IP, VPN, remote access, VOIP protocols using Teams, (basic switching and routing skills)
• Knowledge of troubleshooting mobile devices (android or iOS)
• Any familiarity with applications like: ServiceNow, Okta, Salesforce, Windows Hello for Business, Intune and Autopilot
• Ability to learn new skills and technologies quickly.
