Reporting to the Team Lead, the GIS Analyst Student will assist in the creation and maintenance of GIS Products and Solutions within the various operations of the Utilities business unit.

Please note: This is a 12-month co-op opportunity starting September 2025.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document current business processes.
• Analyse current business process to see where spatial tools can be utilized to increase operational efficiencies.
• Develop mapping applications and tools for operations.
• Perform impact analyses on new tools deployed.
• Present solutions and provide training to operations teams.
• Create process documentation, including flowcharts and standard operating procedures.
• Identify improvement opportunities; develop and present recommendations to management and monitor their implementation.
• Determine what processes are being followed and if purported benefits have been realized.
• Work with management to develop solutions and provide value-added services for Utilities’ dynamic operational environment.

Required Knowledge and Experience

• Must be able to work well within a team environment as well as individually.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to multi-task.
• Ability to adhere to project schedules and meet deadlines.
• Microsoft Office proficient – with strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
• Experience with ESRI’s operational applications- Workforce, Survey123, Field Maps and Experience Builder, Dashboards.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the confidence and ability to work with all levels of staff and management within a large organization.
• Experience in the utilities industry an asset.
