Huawei Canada’s Noah’s Ark lab seeks a forward‑thinking Software Engineer co‑op to join a team integrating AI into the mobile ecosystem. You will build AI‑driven tools and pioneer AI agents and LLM‑driven solutions to redefine how mobile software is developed and maintained.

You will work with C/C++, Python, and TypeScript, contributing to AI‑enhanced development, intelligent agent integration, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams on real‑world apps.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Bachelor in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 2+ years experience in C/C++, Python, and TypeScript.
• Working knowledge of Machine Learning principles and LLMs applied to software engineering workflows.
• Ability to rapidly master new frameworks, open‑source tools, and programming languages.
• Demonstrated collaboration and multi‑tasking under tight deadlines with attention to detail.
• Experience applying LLMs to the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including automated debugging and code generation.
• Hands‑on experience architecting and deploying autonomous agent systems.

• AI-Enhanced Development: Leverage and build AI‑driven code generation tools to accelerate feature delivery and improve codebase maintainability.
• Intelligent Agent Integration: Research and implement AI agents to automate complex workflows, from automated testing to intelligent system monitoring.
• Mobile System Innovation: Design and optimize core components for next‑generation mobile platforms.
• Collaborative R&D: Work closely with cross‑functional teams to integrate AI solutions into real‑world mobile applications.

The total target annual compensation for this position ranges from $58,000 to $104,000 depending on education, experience, and demonstrated expertise.

About the ideal candidate

• Currently enrolled in Bachelor in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Software Engineering Expertise: 2+ years of professional experience in C/C++, Python, and TypeScript application development, with a deep understanding of their respective programming models and ecosystems.
• AI & ML Integration: Working knowledge of Machine Learning principles and Large Language Models (LLMs) applied to software engineering workflows.
• Adaptability & Tooling: Proven ability to rapidly master new frameworks, open‑source tools, and programming languages to meet evolving project requirements.
• Operational Excellence: Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi‑tasking environments under tight deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail.
• Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of effective teamwork in collaborative environments.
• AI-Augmented Engineering: Proven experience applying LLMs to the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including intelligent code generation, automated debugging, and architectural refactoring. Agentic System Development: Hands‑on experience in architecting and deploying autonomous agent systems.
• Deep understanding of agentic design patterns, including multi‑agent orchestration, state management, tool‑use integration, and long‑term memory implementation to solve complex software engineering challenges.
• Developer Experience (DevEx) & Tooling: Strong commitment to building custom AI‑assisted tools that streamline workflows and measurably boost team productivity.
• Mobile Ecosystem Expertise: Experience in HarmonyOS or large‑scale mobile platform development.
