Huawei Canada is offering an 8-16 month Co-op for an Engineer to work with architects and engineers on AI-native cloud infrastructure. The role involves building PoCs, designing data structures for distributed scheduling, and improving capacity management systems.

Ideal candidates are pursuing or have earned degrees in CS/CE/Applied Math/Physics with strong Go or Rust skills, solid algorithms knowledge, and good problem-solving abilities. Cloud-scale experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Math, Physics, or related field.
• Strong Go or Rust programming ability.
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, OS concepts.
• Experience with scheduling or distributed systems is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop proof-of-concept systems and components for AI-native cloud infrastructure.
• Investigate and design data structures and algorithms for distributed scheduling and workload placement.
• Enhance data systems used for public cloud capacity management and scheduling.
