Responsibilities

• Develop technical skills in areas such as: compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax
• Develop and apply knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and/or ASPE
• Manage client files, conduct inventory counts, and set up new client files
• Perform walkthroughs for accounts receivable, payable, payroll, and capital assets with clients
• Prepare financial statements and reports to summarize current financial status
• Assess audit evidence for various financial entries and reports
• Investigate and correct discrepancies in financial data
• Establish charts of accounts and prepare posting entries
• Draft correspondence, reports, summaries, and presentations
• Collaborate with engagement teams and build client relationships
• Contribute to process improvements using internal systems
• Maintain flexibility to travel as needed

Skills and Experience

• Working towards a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance preferred)
• Prerequisites for CPA PEP admission after graduation
• Accounting-related office experience is an asset
• Customer service experience is an asset
• Experience with accounting and tax software is an asset
