Job summary
Magellan Aerospace, Kitchener is seeking a CNC Operator to run and monitor CNC machines, load materials and programs, and ensure quality parts on schedule. The role offers morning, afternoon and night shifts with a wage range of $28.72/hr to $34.75/hr based on experience.
Responsibilities include reading blueprints, verifying tooling, and maintaining production efficiency while adhering to safety policies. Experience in aerospace is an asset and training for our internal production system will
Qualifications
- 1-3 years’ experience as a CNC operator.
- Experience running/maintaining/troubleshooting CNC machines.
- High attention to detail with strong mathematical aptitude.
- Must be able to read, write and understand English; follow instructions.
- Aerospace industry experience is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Load raw material and programs into CNC machines.
- Ensure proper tooling for parts and programs in the CNC machine.
- Read blueprints, sketches, designs and operation sheets.
- Start and monitor the machine throughout the machining cycle.
- Intervene as needed to keep machines on production schedule.
- Check product dimensions periodically during machining.
- Communicate machining knowledge across shifts.
