Job summary

Cahill Fabrication Structural, a division of The Cahill Group, is seeking a CNC Plasma Table Operator to join our Torbay, NL fabrication team. You will set up and operate CNC cutting equipment for plates and steel profiles used in defense shipbuilding and other major projects.

We offer long-term employment, safe working conditions, and opportunities to grow with experienced tradespeople in a collaborative environment, with a wage rate of $30.33/hour.

Qualifications

• Hands on experience operating CNC plasma cutting equipment.
• Experience working with steel plate and profiles.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings with confidence.
• Strong focus on safety and quality.

Cahill Fabrication Structural, a division of The Cahill Group, is currently recruiting CNC Plasma Table Operator to join our team at our fabrication facility in Torbay, NL.

As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to major Canadian defense shipbuilding projects, fabricating structural steel components that support one of the country's largest and most significant marine construction programs, while also working on a diverse range of fabrication projects across the offshore, mining, industrial, and commercial sectors. Roles and Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
• Set up and operate CNC cutting equipment for plates and steel profiles.
• Read and interpret drawings and CNC files.
• Monitor cut quality and inspect finished parts.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and housekeeping.
