Job Title:

CNC Operator

Responsibilities:

1. Perform drilling, coping or sawing operations (depending on the machine used);
2. Calibrate the machine and monitor by taking frequent measurements;
3. Classify, organize and identify parts by division in the work area;
4. Mark and identify material as required: profiles, ID, dimensions, programs, division no., etc.;
5. Validate production and enter work progress into internal system (BDL, Saw, Coping machine, Multi-torch);
6. Optimize cutting of pieces from pre-selected material;
7. Pay precise visual attention, note and report defects in materials, tools and equipment to superior and protect them from damage;
8. Follow company quality procedures, work instructions or manufacturing standards;
9. Carry out daily maintenance according to procedure;
10. Handle any load over 50 lbs using an overhead crane or hoist;
11. Any other related tasks.

Qualifications:

1. Relevant experience in CNC machine or press brake operation in the steel industry.
2. Diploma of Vocational Studies (D.E.P.) in machining technology and/or Attestation of Vocational Specialization (A.S.P.) in machining on CNC machine tools and/or any relevant experience; or
3. Diploma of Vocational Studies (D.E.P) in precision sheet metal work.
4. Autonomy, manual dexterity, adaptability, initiative, organizational skills and ability to work as part of a team.
