Job Title: CNC Operator - Metals

Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Location: Mississauga

Pay Rate: $22.00/hour

Flynn Group of Companies is currently looking to fill the position of CNC Operator - Metals for our day shift. Do you have experience working with equipment such as Accupress, CNC Brake Press, or laser equipment? Then this is the position for you! In this role, you will work in our metals department, creating architectural panels for Flynn's building projects across North America. The position is located at our Mississauga Branch, situated at Airport Road and Derry. You will report to the Metals Production Manager.

A Day in the Life

• Read and interpret blueprint/shop drawings for machine setup.
• Operate various saws, punch press, shears, folders, and pneumatic equipment.
• Program and operate CNC equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure productivity and on-time completion of work orders.
• Assist team with other production requirements as needed.

What You Bring:

• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16th inch or 1 mm.
• Ability to confidently read and interpret shop drawings/blueprints.
• Previous experience with CNC equipment and basic programming is an asset.
• Experience with saws, punch presses, shears, and pneumatic equipment is an asset.
• Attention to detail and ability to focus on priorities to ensure high quality.
• Mechanical inclination, knowledge of equipment, tool selection, and settings.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on new assignments as needed.
