Job summary

New World Technologies Inc. in Abbotsford, BC, seeks an experienced CNC Operator to manufacture parts using CNC lathes and mills. 2+ years of CNC machining in metal, with 6 months to 1 year proving programs on 4- and 5-axis machines.

Shift work available; 1st shift Mon-Fri 7:00–3:30, 2nd shift 3:15–1:15, rotating every two weeks. Operating Okuma and HAAS machines is an asset. You will follow safety policies, maintain tooling, and support continuous improvement with the CNC supervisor and

CNC Operator

Looking for experienced CNC Operators with previous experience in metal cutting.

Minimum Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working as an operator for Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinery in metal and/or tool fabrication.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience proving programs and running 4 and 5 axis machines.
• Willing to work shift work. Daily hours for 1st shift will be Mon-Fri, 7:00AM-3:30PM, 2nd shift, 3:15PM-1:15AM – on 2 weeks rotations.
• Experience with Okuma and HAAS machines considered an asset.

Job Responsibilities

• Operates machine in a safe manner in accordance with our safety policies and procedures.
• Produce parts and products according to our quality standards and productivity goals
• Operates CNC Lathes and mills as directed by the CNC Supervisor
• Able to adjust and replace machine tooling as necessary
• Understands our manufacturing processes and makes recommendations to the department supervisor and CNC technician to improve the manufacturing process when applicable
• Performs additional side operations as necessary during machine cycle time as required
• Performs daily maintenance of machines as required
• Performs other responsibilities as needed to ensure the success of the CNC operations and the company as a whole
• Participates and engages in a team-oriented manner and holds personal accountability in the performance of other duties and responsibilities
• Other duties as assigned

Pay: CA $26 - CA $36 Per Hour
