Job summary

Exco Extrusion Dies is seeking a reliable CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team in Markham. You will be responsible for operating CNC milling machines, inspecting components, reading drawings, and ensuring parts meet quality and production standards.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable following instructions and Lean manufacturing processes. Safety and teamwork are essential to our quality culture.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating CNC machines is an asset.
  • Read and interpret basic technical drawings.
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Willingness to learn CNC machining techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC milling machines per procedures and work instructions.
  • Load and unload materials into CNC machines.
  • Monitor operations and identify issues during production.
  • Read technical drawings and follow production specs.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances meet quality requirements.
  • Report equipment or production issues to supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
  • Collaborate with team to meet schedules and quality.
  • Perform other related manufacturing duties as required.

We are seeking a CNC Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The CNC Operator will be responsible for operating CNC machinery, inspecting finished components, following work instructions, and ensuring products meet established quality and production standards.

Duties
  • Operate CNC milling machines and other machining equipment according to established procedures and work instructions.
  • Load and unload materials and components into CNC machines.
  • Monitor machine operations and identify any issues or abnormalities during production.
  • Read and follow technical drawings, work instructions, and production specifications.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances to ensure finished parts meet quality requirements.
  • Perform basic machine adjustments and report equipment or production issues to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety procedures.
  • Follow established manufacturing processes and Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Perform other related manufacturing duties as required.
Requirements
  • Previous experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • Basic understanding of CNC machining and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Experience using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, established procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or metalworking environment is an asset.
  • Willingness to learn and develop CNC machining skills.
