Smiths is seeking a CNC Machinist in Hamilton, Ontario to set up and operate CNC Mills and Turning Centers. The role requires interpreting blueprints, applying GD&T, and ensuring quality while meeting safety standards.

The position is temporary, full-time with a rotating two-shift schedule at the Stoney Creek location. Applicants should have strong experience with Mazak, Okuma, and Haas machines and a Red Seal or equivalent. Training opportunities are available.

Competenze

• High school education plus 2 years technical training.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with CNC milling or turning operations.
• G-Code programming experience and CNC machine controls.
• Proficient reading of blueprints and tolerances.
• Red Seal or equal experience.

Mansioni

• Set up, operate, and run CNC Mills and/or CNC Turning Centers.
• Interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Perform machine setups including tooling, offsets, and fixtures.
• Maintain safe, organized work area and proper time reporting.
• Train other CNC set up operators.
