Responsibilities

• Conduct a visual walk-around inspection at the start of each shift to ensure machine safety.
• Load castings onto fixtures with correct orientation and secure clamping for operation.
• Monitor automatic cycles and clear chip accumulations as needed.
• Verify machined part dimensions using appropriate gauges.
• Notify quality or supervision if any checks fail.

CNC Machine Operator

Position Summary:

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient running of CNC machines and for performing parts inspection to produce high quality automotive parts.

• Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hour weekly rotating shifts

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct a visual walk around inspection at the beginning of each shift to ensure the machine is safe.
• Load castings onto fixtures ensuring proper orientation and location; ensure machine properly clamps the parts in place and activates the machine cycle.
• Monitor automatic operation to detect issues and remove chip accumulations from fixtures and parts.
• Verify dimensions of machined parts using multiple gauges.
• Immediately notify the quality department or supervisor if any quality checks are not met

• Completed Grade 12 or equivalent.
