Join Our Team as a CNC Lathe Machinist

What You’ll Do
- Blueprint and schematic review: Analyze blueprints and schematic drawings to determine machining processes, dimensions, and assembly procedures using your knowledge of tool design, shop mathematics, and machining methodologies.
- Machining Operations: Set up, program, and operate the CNC lathe machine.
- Verification and conformance: Check the conformance of machined parts using measuring instruments such as dial indicators, height gauges, micrometers, and gauge blocks to ensure dimensional accuracy, clearances, and alignment.
- CNC Programming and Control Systems: Recognize the functions of the specific controller capabilities, program parameters to load, evaluate, and run a specific program.
- Post Machining Detailing: After machining, de-burr and finish details by filing, tapping, grinding, or scraping.
- Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and tools to ensure optimal performance.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 5+ years of Lathe experience.
- Qualifications: Completed apprenticeship and certification as a machinist is an asset.
- Technical Skills:
- Excellent ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong safety focus with attention to detail for precise machining
- Knowledge of G-code, M-code, as well as GD&T principles
- Previous experience using a Mori controller
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt work hours to accommodate production timelines when necessary.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
