Job summary

Ambico Limited is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate and set up machines for repetitive operations at our Canada facility. The role requires careful measurement using micrometers and calipers and involvement in etching processes to remove unwanted portions.

You will perform routine equipment maintenance and program speed, feed, and toolpath on CNC machines, while maintaining a clean and safe workspace. On-site work only.

Qualifications

• 2 years to less than 3 years of manufacturing/CNC experience.
• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations.
• Verify dimensions of parts machined using micrometers and calipers.
• Prepare etching solution and immerse metal parts to remove unwanted portions.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Enter codes for speed, feed and toolpath on CNC machine tools.
• Keep the workspace clean and organized.

• Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations
• Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
• Prepare etching solution and immerse metal parts or workpiece into the etching solution to remove unwanted portions
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery
• Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
• Clean and maintain work space
