Precinmac, LP. in Milton, ON is seeking a CMM Programmer to develop and run PC-DMIS-based inspection programs for components, assemblies, and fixtures.

You will generate data-driven reports, troubleshoot programs, and participate in continuous improvement efforts on the shop floor. Ideal candidates have 7+ years in CMM programming with PC-DMIS, Metrologic software, and GD&T proficiency, plus familiarity with PiWeb reporting and CAD data interpretation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience programming a CMM using PC-DMIS software preferred.
• PC-DMIS level 2 training will be considered an asset.
• Metrologic software experience required.
• Fundamental understanding of statistics (PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, APQP).
• Proficient in GD&T and applying it to manufactured parts.
• Able to use measuring devices (calipers, indicators, micrometers, height gauge).
• Competent reading and use of CAD data and 3D models.

Responsabilités

• Develop CMM programs using PC-DMIS and Blades software to collect data on manufactured parts, components, assemblies, checking fixtures, tooling, or other objects.
• Run CMM programs to inspect manufactured parts.
• Use CMM data to develop reports meeting customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot existing CMM programs and reports.
• Assist in problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
• Assist in calibration and certification of all process inspection and test equipment.
• Ensure timely completion of layouts and reports including PiWeb software.
• Store CMM data, reports and documents per defined structure and naming conventions.
• Perform other tasks within the department as required.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop CMM programs using PC-DMIS and blades software to collect data on manufactured parts, components, assemblies, checking fixtures, tooling, or other objects
• Run CMM programs to inspect manufactured part
• Using CMM data, develop reports to meet the customer requirements
• Troubleshoot existing CMM programs and reports
• Assist in problem solving and continuous improvement activities
• Assist as needed in the calibration and certification of all process inspection & test equipment
• Ensure timely completion of layouts and reports including PiWeb software
• Store CMM data, reports and documents according to defined structure and naming convention
• Perform other tasks within the department as required

Work Conditions

• Work in a manufacturing / industrial environment – machine shop inspection area
• Overtime as required.

Requirements

• Experience with “analog scanning” preferred
• Experienced with “PCDMIS Blades”
• 7 + years of experience programming a CMM using PC-DMIS software preferred
• PCDMIS level 2 training will be considered an asset.
• Metrologic software experience a must.
• Fundamental understand of statistics & other (PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, APQP)
