Job summary

AV Gauge in Canada is seeking a CMM Operator to manage the day-to-day operation of the Coordinate Measuring Machine ensuring high-quality products meet customer specifications on time.

The role requires experience with milling, surface grinding, GD&T, and CAMIO/LK Metrology software, plus strong organizational skills and proficiency in MS Word/Excel. The incumbent will program CMMs, prepare inspection reports, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Milling machine, Surface grinder, Drill press, Hand tools and Precision instruments.
• Ability to read a blue print and GD&T interpretations.
• Ability to use MS Word & Excel computer applications.
• Strong organizational and workload planning skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Previous experience operating a CMM/Portable measuring equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge/experience in Polyworks, LK Metrology CAMIO Software is a definite asset.

Responsibilities

• Program the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) using Camio Inspection software to complete dimensional inspection of completed product.
• Prepare reports to describe studies and prepare documents and layouts
• Keep the equipment and the workstation clean at all times for most accurate results
• Perform project work, while adhering to deadlines, as required
• Other related duties as assigned
