Job summary

Universal Precision Technology, located in Stoney Creek, Ontario, is seeking a skilled CMM Inspector to create PC‑DMIS programs, inspect parts with CMM, and read blueprints. You will ensure parts meet GD&T specifications and communicate nonconformities for corrective action.

The role requires hands-on use of calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools. Competitive wages followed by benefits and onsite parking are provided.

Qualifications

• Well versed in Geometric Tolerances (GD&T).
• Minimum 3 years comprehensive CMM experience, PC‑DMIS software and Quality Control.
• CNC machining process experience, an asset.

Responsibilities

• Create CMM Programs using PC‑DMIS.
• Inspect products using CMM in accordance with quality procedures.
• Read blueprint drawings and specifications.
• Inspect precision parts and assemblies to drawings using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, shadowgraph, hardness tester, plug gauges, pin gauges.
• Document and discuss nonconforming materials with internal/external parties and take corrective action.

Roles & Responsibilities / Job Duties

• Ability to create CMM Programs using PC‑DMIS software
• Inspect products using CMM in accordance with our quality system procedures
• Ability to read blueprint drawings and specifications
• Perform inspection of precision parts and assemblies to drawings and specifications (using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, shadowgraph, hardness tester, plug gauges, pin gauges)
• Document / discuss unacceptable or nonconforming materials with internal and external parties and take corrective action, when required

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years comprehensive CMM experience, PC‑DMIS software and Quality Control.
