Cloud QA Specialist

Fortinet is recruiting a skilled Cloud QA Specialist to join our FortiStack Platform team based out of Burnaby, BC. This team is responsible for designing, building, developing, and supporting our open source based private cloud infrastructure. This position would represent a great fit for our cloud QA specialists with a combination of cloud software GUI, API, performance and security test experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• QA, validate and support the infrastructure of global private cloud.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, both individually and as part of the broader team.
• Focus on continuous improvement - always be looking for improvement, automation and optimization opportunities from the cloud.
• Actively share knowledge across the team and support your peers.

Skills Required:

• Multiple years of experience in private or public cloud platform validation and QA with the following knowledge and capabilities.
  • Execute feature and bug fix testing using a combination of manual and automated testing techniques and analyzing code.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects found during testing.
  • Write and maintain automation framework
  • Design and develop comprehensive test cases and detailed test plan
• OpenStack experience preferred
• Linux server administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)
• At least one programming/scripting language (Python, Bash, etc.)
• Excellent ability to analyze, identify, and resolve software issues
• Excellent ability to organize, multitask, work individually and in a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
