Job summary

Ellison Institute of Technology seeks a Cloud Platform Engineer to design, build and operate an OCI-based platform supporting enterprise apps, scientific research and AI workloads.

You will collaborate with Infrastructure, Cyber Security and Software Engineering teams, delivering cloud services with IaC, automation and best practices. This role requires travel and relocation to Oxford, UK, with a strong focus on reliability and cost optimisation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on OCI or major public cloud platform experience.
• Designing and supporting secure, scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Terraform and Infrastructure as Code proficiency.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, IAM, security, monitoring and backup.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Linux administration and scripting skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, automate and operate secure, scalable OCI platform services and workloads.
• Manage OCI networking, compute, storage, identity, DNS, load balancing, object storage, monitoring and logging.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform with Git-based CI/CD.
• Implement cloud security controls, IAM roles and policies, network segmentation and audit requirements.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, logging, capacity planning and disaster recovery procedures.
