Job summary

KData Inc. in Toronto is seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer with deep Kubernetes expertise to support enterprise cloud environments and application teams.

The role combines hands-on Kubernetes engineering with IaC, automation, and GitHub-based workflows. The ideal candidate will diagnose complex Kubernetes and container-platform issues, develop reusable cloud platform components, and collaborate with client teams to meet externally driven delivery priorities.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on Kubernetes expertise; able to debug complex platform issues.
• Terraform and infrastructure-as-code experience.
• Strong GitHub usage for source control and collaboration.
• Understanding of cloud networking in Kubernetes-based platforms.
• Proven troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work with application/client teams to resolve problems independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot and scale enterprise Kubernetes platform capabilities.
• Diagnose complex Kubernetes issues across clusters and workloads.
• Support application teams deploying workloads on shared cloud platforms.
• Investigate Kubernetes-related support requests and drive resolutions.
• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform and IaC patterns.
• Work within GitHub-based repositories and CI/CD workflows.
• Develop automation and tooling using Python; Go is a plus.
• Understand interactions between Kubernetes, cloud networking and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with internal teams and client teams on delivery priorities.
• Contribute to reliability and maintainability of shared cloud services.

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Platform Engineerwith deepKubernetes expertiseto join a platform engineeringteam supporting enterprise cloud environments and application teams.

The role combines hands-on Kubernetes engineering andtroubleshooting with broader cloud platform responsibilities, includinginfrastructure-as-code, automation and engineering through GitHub-basedworkflows.

The successful candidate must be capable of going beyondbasic Kubernetes administration and independently diagnosing and resolvingcomplex Kubernetes and container-platform issues.

The ideal candidate is a Kubernetes specialist with broadcloud platform engineering skills—not simply someone who has deployed workloadsto Kubernetes. They should be comfortable getting into a difficult Kubernetesproblem, diagnosing what is happening and resolving it, while also being ableto work with Terraform, Python, GitHub and the broader cloud infrastructuresurrounding the platform.
