Job summary

Desjardins is seeking a Tech Platform Lead to provide technical leadership for cloud platforms, APIs, integrations, and digital applications. The role balances architecture and governance (approximately 40%) with hands-on operational leadership and delivery support (about 60%).

You will define standards, review designs, maintain roadmaps, and ensure secure, scalable, cost-effective solutions while coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or a related field
• Knowledge of French is required
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure architecture, Azure API Management, Azure Functions, networking concepts, monitoring and resilience patterns
• Proficiency in REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, event‑driven integration and enterprise integration patterns
• Proficiency in Terraform, Bicep, Git, Azure DevOps and infrastructure as code (IaC) governance practices
• Experience leading technical initiatives and communicating architectural decisions to stakeholders
• Six years of relevant experience; at least five years designing and delivering enterprise/platform solutions

Responsibilities

• Define practical solution standards and reusable patterns for Azure, APIs and integrations.
• Translate business requirements into secure, maintainable technology solutions, documenting key decisions.
• Maintain target-state roadmaps, reference architectures and technology portfolio lifecycle.
• Review designs and flag proposals introducing operational risk or costs.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership during incidents and problem investigations.
• Assess operational readiness before production releases with monitoring, runbooks and handoffs.
• Coordinate external architecture specialists for Azure, cybersecurity, Salesforce or supplier needs.
• Own Terraform operating model, module governance, naming/tagging standards and secure state management.
