Salary: $140,000 - $160,000
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of our cloud-based infrastructure and services, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
- Develop and implement financial optimization and cost management strategies for our cloud operations, leveraging the FinOps framework and best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to understand their cloud infrastructure and service needs, and design solutions that meet their requirements.
- Manage a team of cloud engineers and architects, providing guidance and mentorship on cloud technologies, FinOps practices, and architecture best practices.
- Evaluate new cloud technologies and services, and make recommendations on their suitability for our organization.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security, privacy, and data protection regulations, and implement best practices for cloud security and data management.
- Develop and maintain a roadmap for our cloud platform and FinOps capabilities, and communicate it to relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure automation tools and processes to enable continuous integration and deployment.
- Monitor and maintain the performance, security, and availability of cloud infrastructure services.
- Create and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure components and processes.
Key Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and services, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies, including public, private, and hybrid clouds, containerization, microservices, and serverless computing.
- Experience with FinOps practices and frameworks, such as AWS Well-Architected Framework, Azure Architecture Center, or Google Cloud Architecture Framework.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.
- Knowledge of relevant security, privacy, and data protection regulations, and best practices for cloud security and data management.
- Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, is a plus.
- Certifications in either Microsoft or AWS, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals.
