Job summary

Blue Cross Life Insurance Company of Canada is seeking a Cloud Operations Specialist to help modernize our cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps practices. The role supports cloud-based projects, applications, and integrations to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability across the organization.

You will work across infrastructure, automation, and operations to broaden cloud experience, deepen technical expertise, and drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years IT experience in IT service operations and/or development projects.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Understanding of network protocols, security and best practices.
• Foundational experience with Bash, Shell, and Python.
• Experience with data platforms like Snowflake or Databricks; familiarity with AI/ML workflows helpful.
• Experience with AWS Lambda and GitHub/GitLab.
• Foundational experience with M365.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day cloud service operations across AWS, M365, and data/AI platforms.
• Assist cloud migration initiatives and infrastructure improvements.
• Automate routine operational tasks (e.g., instance management, monitoring, reporting).
• Contribute to scalable, reliable cloud environments and operational excellence.
• Create and maintain clear technical and operational documentation.
• Provide on-call support as required.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to align with priorities.
