Job summary

Lenovo in Morrisville (USA) is seeking an experienced Senior Kubernetes & DevOps Engineer to support the administration, performance, and continuous improvement of our cloud-native infrastructure. You will manage Kubernetes environments, maintain CI/CD pipelines, monitor system performance, and develop automation to boost reliability and scalability.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, 5+ years in IT Operations/DevOps or SRE, and 3+ years hands-on Kubernetes

• Responsible for daily operations, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of Kubernetes clusters, including cluster deployment, upgrades, scaling, monitoring alarms, and log management.
• Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the DevOps toolchain, including CI/CD processes, code repositories, and build tools.
• Monitor platform performance, perform performance tuning, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Design and develop automated operations scripts, tools, and platforms to improve operational efficiency and automation levels.

This role is responsible for managing Kubernetes environments, maintaining DevOps platforms and CI/CD pipelines, monitoring system performance, and developing automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for the daily operations, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of Kubernetes clusters, including cluster deployment, upgrades, scaling, monitoring alarms, and log management.

Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the DevOps toolchain, including CI/CD processes, code repositories, and build tools.

Monitor platform performance, perform performance tuning, and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Design and develop automated operations scripts, tools, and platforms to improve operational efficiency and automation levels.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Solutions, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related degree.

5+ years of IT Operations, Infrastructure, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering experience.

3+ years of hands‑on Kubernetes administration experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus

Strong knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, cluster deployment, management, maintenance, troubleshooting, and tuning.

familiar with various resource objects of K8s.

Experience working with DevOps tools and platforms, including Jira, Git, Jenkins, ArgoCD , Helm, and Ansible etc.

Knowledge of Linux system administration, troubleshooting, and network configuration.

Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python, Go, or Shell, with the ability to develop and maintain automation solutions.

Monitoring & Observability

Experience with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenShift) is preferred.

Familiar with cloud-native monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.
