Cloud Developer VM (Senior)

As a Senior Cloud Developer, you'll be part of a central global team located between Montreal and Paris, with multiple responsibilities related to our public cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. Within this global team, you'll be the primary contact for the Latin America and Caribbean region, working with teams using the platform for various business lines.

The team leverages scripting technologies such as Terraform, shell scripts, and PowerShell, but also implements tools, portals, and APIs in .Net or Java to provide complementary services.

The team works closely with the Big Data team responsible for the DataLake offering on Azure. You will participate in the design of the platform's evolution, its implementation, and its production support. You will also contribute your expertise to integration projects on the platform.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

In your role, you will oversee the following tasks:

1. Develop automation to provision new Azure services while taking into account our security constraints.
2. Maintain existing Azure services, upgrade them to new versions, and manage the relationship with Microsoft for production incidents.
3. Develop tools to provide additional cloud-based services, such as cost tracking, resilience controls, etc. Create code samples and templates to accelerate public cloud adoption.
4. Maintain the CI/CD pipeline to develop and test our deliverables.
5. Train new Azure cloud users and advise them on the most suitable architecture/solution.
6. This role is broad, covering many topics, and offers an excellent opportunity to learn new things by leveraging the specific expertise of each team member.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Technical Stack
PYTHON/SHELL/POWERSHELL | TERRAFORM | KUBERNETES | JENKINS | AZURE

Profile Required:

• Good knowledge of the Azure ecosystem, particularly virtual machines.
• Solid experience with scripting technologies such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, and Terraform.
• Good understanding of the CI/CD methodology.
• Excellent understanding of networking aspects (gateways, private endpoints, etc.).

Assets:

• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of Ansible, Packer, and Chocolatey.
• Bilingualism (French/English).
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, DEC, or equivalent technical certifications.
• Languages: French and English* are required.

*Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential, as the incumbent will be required to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
