Job summary

A leading IT solutions provider in Toronto is looking for a Cloud / Data Migration Engineer to assist in migrating on-prem Oracle data to Azure for a financial client. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, and SQL. This is a 12-month contract position requiring in-office presence three days a week.

Qualifications

• Experience migrating on-prem data to Snowflake and Azure cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with data engineering technologies.
• Experience supporting cloud migration projects.

Cloud / Data Migration Engineer - migrating on-prem (Oracle) data to Azure (DBT/Airflow ) for our financial service client

Duration: 12 month contract

Location: Toronto (3 days in office)

Responsible for supporting the migration of on prem data to Snowflake and Azure cloud enterprise platforms.

Experience with the following technologies:

• Database and Data Engineering: Snowflake, DBT, Airflow/Astronomer, SQL Server, Oracle, Stored Procedures, SSIS.
• DevOps/Agile: Git, Jenkins, Jira, Nexus.
• Reporting: Experience with PowerBI is a nice to have
• Expertise in the following languages: SQL, Python

Nice to Haves:

• Web Development: experience with common web development frameworks Streamlit, React, Flask, FastAPI, Django
