Deloitte is seeking a Cloud, Automation & AI Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and modernize cloud platforms for enterprise-scale initiatives in a hybrid Toronto setting.

You will work with engineers, architects, security teams, and business leaders to deliver scalable, secure AI-enabled infrastructure and platform solutions across diverse client environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience in one or more cloud/platform/infrastructure domains.
  • Familiarity with Azure, AWS or Google Cloud and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep).

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure platforms across modern cloud environments.
  • Develop IaC solutions, reusable deployment patterns, and automated provisioning frameworks.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support deployment and operations.
  • Collaborate with solution architects, security teams, developers, and operations teams.
  • Support large-scale cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
  • Contribute to infrastructure for analytics, ML, generative AI workloads.
  • Automate operational processes, monitoring, config mgmt, testing, compliance validation, deployment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges across cloud services, networking, identity management, security, storage, compute, applications.
  • Improve platform observability, performance, reliability, security.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and conduct proof-of-concepts.
  • Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, architecture workshops.
  • Take ownership of technical initiatives end-to-end.

As a Cloud, Automation & AI Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and modernizing cloud and AI-enabled technology platforms that support some of Canada's most significant digital transformation initiatives. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, security specialists, and business leaders, you will help organizations build secure, scalable, and intelligent technology ecosystems that power the future of work.

This role offers exposure to cloud transformation, infrastructure automation, DevOps practices, platform engineering, cybersecurity, application modernization, data platforms, and emerging AI infrastructure technologies. What will your typical day look like?

As a Cloud, Automation & AI Infrastructure Engineer, you will:

  • Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure platforms across modern cloud environments.
  • Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions, reusable deployment patterns, and automated provisioning frameworks that accelerate delivery and improve consistency.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support application deployment, infrastructure management, and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with solution architects, security teams, developers, and operations teams to translate business and technical requirements into production-ready solutions.
  • Support large-scale cloud migration and modernization initiatives involving enterprise applications, data platforms, and critical business services.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of infrastructure supporting advanced analytics, machine learning, generative AI, and intelligent application workloads.
  • Automate operational processes, monitoring, configuration management, testing, compliance validation, and deployment activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges across cloud services, networking, identity management, security, storage, compute, and application platforms.
  • Improve platform observability, performance, reliability, availability, and security through proactive engineering and continuous improvement practices.
