Job summary

MNP, a leading national accounting and advisory firm in Canada, seeks a Technician for Cloud Accounting Services in Markham. You will handle full cycle bookkeeping and payroll for clients, leveraging QBO and Xero, with focus on accuracy and regulatory compliance.

You will contribute to budgets, file setup, and reconciliation tasks while collaborating with a team to deliver trusted advisory services and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 1 year of full cycle bookkeeping experience
• Experience with cloud accounting software such as QBO and/or Xero
• Knowledge of payroll, remittances and tax filings
• Understanding of GST, PST, HST, payroll taxes and corporate tax
• Desirable: QBO and Xero certifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with full cycle bookkeeping and payroll for clients
• Prepare and maintain payroll and government remittances/filings
• Set up client files and assist with budgets and administrative planning
• Reconcile GL accounts including cash, bank, AR, AP and POS uploads
• Identify issues, discuss resolutions with supervisor
• Communicate with governments regarding requests and installments
• Collaborate with clients and team members
