White Spot is seeking a dedicated Clinician for their Specialized Services department in Smithers, BC. This role involves providing essential therapeutic support and mental health services in accordance with care plans tailored by an interdisciplinary team. Ideal candidates will hold a relevant degree and possess strong assessment and communication skills, alongside a commitment to trauma-informed care.
Position Summary

Under the administrative direction of the Team Lead/designate, the Clinician is responsible for providing primary therapeutic, case management, and mental health and substance use support services for assigned clients, whether they are in hospital, residential, or other community settings. Such services are provided where and as required, in accordance with care plans agreed to by the inter-professional clinical team, the individual, and family.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days - 08:30 to 17:00

Smithers is located in the picturesque Bulkley Valley surrounded by three mountain ranges which provide a backdrop for the town's Alpine setting. The main industries include forestry, tourism, transportation, and agriculture. Smithers offers affordable housing and natural splendor that support a balanced lifestyle. The population of Smithers is approximately 6,000, with an additional 5,000 from the surrounding communities that access services. There are three elementary schools, one secondary school, one alternate format school for grades 9-12, and Coast Mountain College. Qualifications
• Baccalaureate degree in a mental health and substance use related discipline, plus two years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
