University of Calgary's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine seeks a Full-time Temporary Relief Clinical Teaching Technician for about 24 months. The role supports undergraduate DVM clinical skills labs across multiple species and off-campus teaching activities, reporting to the Manager of Clinical Teaching Technicians.

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is currently seeking a Full-time Temporary Relief Clinical Teaching Technician for approximately 24 months.
The Clinical Teaching Technician reports to the Manager, Clinical Teaching Technicians (CTT). The Clinical Teaching Technician will also receive direction from the Course Coordinators and faculty members regarding the delivery of the clinical skills and other relevant courses. The Clinical Teaching Technician will work closely with the animal husbandry technicians and other members of the Animal Support Unit team including the ASU Manager and the Manager Veterinary Medicine Spy Hill Operations within the University of Calgary, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (UCVM).
This position exists to support clinical and practical teaching sessions that support undergraduate courses (primarily clinical skills, professional skills, 4th year rotations and external
clinical-based events) across all years of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program. This position is also involved in supporting clinical teaching off campus and supporting various clinical research activities.
This role requires a Registered Veterinary Technologist with confidence working with multiple species. Mixed¿animal experience is a significant asset, as the position supports teaching across small¿animal, equine, bovine and other species clinical skills labs. As a Clinical Teaching Technician, you will play a supporting role in the management of herd health. You will also play a major role in equine instruction across all years of the DVM program, ensuring safe, high quality learning experiences while collaborating with faculty, students, and animal care teams.
