Job summary

ParaMed in London, Ontario is seeking a Clinical Supervisor - RN to lead and supervise nurses delivering community-based care. You will assess, implement and evaluate clinical interventions to ensure safe, high-quality services, while mentoring staff and maintaining compliance with standards.

The role emphasizes strong communication, problem solving, patient teaching, and collaboration with the nursing team to meet funder reporting guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a practicing Registered Nurse.
• Understanding of community nursing principles and care delivery.
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to provide a current, clear Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS).
• C.N.A. Certification as a Community Health Nurse (CCHN(C)) is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Nurses to ensure practices comply with legislated standards and company policies.
• Respond to and advise/resolve concerns from community staff, patients/families, and other team members.
• Provide ongoing leadership through regular huddles, face-to-face meetings and one-on-ones.
• Initiate patient safety incident investigations and document timelines and action plans.
• Collaborate with nursing team to support clinical documentation and submission requirements.
• Engage patients in problem solving with health teaching and rapport-building to identify needs and goals.
• Engage staff in problem solving, offering education, coaching, and mentoring.
