Job summary

The University of Manitoba is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant - Tech 2 (AESES) in Internal Medicine. This full-time, grant-funded role runs 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, with appointment dates Oct 13, 2026 to Oct 12, 2027.

The candidate will handle IRB submissions, participant recruitment, data entry, and study coordination, requiring 2–4 years of clinical research experience, strong Microsoft Office skills, and excellent organization and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• High school completion with job-related options plus two years of directly-related experience.
• Community College course in related discipline with no experience is acceptable.
• Some post-secondary education in life science or health-related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit IRB submissions (initials and amendments).
• Track submission timelines and deadlines; maintain records of approvals.
• Recruit participants and obtain informed consent; conduct study assessments.
• Data entry into study database and maintenance of recruitment logs.
• Coordinate with PI and team; report study progress at weekly meetings.
