Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with accreditation processes and standards is essential.

Position Summary

Ross Memorial Hospital is currently seeking a Permanent Full-Time Clinical Quality, Experience & Improvement Leader. Effective Date: October 19, 2026. This position reports to the Director, Quality, Safety, Patient Experience IPAC & Professional Practice and will co-design, implement, and monitor the structures and processes that support clinical quality and the experience of care at Ross Memorial Hospital. The position is essential to advancing a system-wide quality management approach through integrating quality improvement, system safety principles, experience-based co-design, and evidence-informed practice across programs and departments. This work will support the hospital’s vision, strategic directions, corporate goals, and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Leads the implementation of the integrated quality management system at RMH through providing guidance on standards and legislation, fostering a Just Culture, leading the Accreditation and patient and family satisfaction/experience process.
• Coordinates the delivery of education and coaching to build organizational capacity in engagement, change management, project management, incident and data analysis and quality improvement skills.
• Tracks status, reports and presents on various quality related processes/tools.
• Facilitates quality of care reviews to generate high quality and effective recommendations; aligned with RMH policy and in compliance with legislative expectations.
• Facilitates the implementation of quality improvement activities and acts as a knowledge expert and resource to leaders in the development and maintenance of quality improvement processes.

This is an onsite position at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, ON.

Essential Qualifications

• Regulated Health Professional - Certificate of current registration from a Regulatory College in Ontario
• Undergraduate degree in healthcare related field
• Quality improvement certification such as Lean, Six Sigma, Canadian Patient Safety Program and demonstrated advanced experience in quality improvement methodologies and tools, preferably in the healthcare environment
• Engagement, such as the International Association for Public Participation Certification
• Project Management Professional certification and experience
• Successful completion of Just Culture training
• Minimum five years of recent healthcare leadership experience
• Working knowledge of relevant standards and requirements in legislation and provincial policy (i.e. ECFAA, QCIPA)
• Demonstrated experience providing leadership and oversight of a hospital's accreditation according to Accreditation Canada standards
• Excellent facilitation, training and presentation skills
• Experience in literature reviews and methods of synthesizing information from broad sources
• Demonstrated experience of successful change management project or initiative
• Highly effective communicator both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team of staff and physicians
• Results oriented and demonstrated ability to influence and motivate others
• Prior experience and demonstrated understanding of strategic planning, capacity planning and health system structure
• Experience in leveraging data to inform decision-making
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex projects to meet aggressive timelines
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated ability to work under direction of senior staff, but with minimal supervision (self-starter)
• Applied knowledge of long-range scenario planning and organizational design
• Commitment to quality and high attention to detail
• Strong critical and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Effective leadership and team building skills
• Must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the job, as per the current Physical Demands Analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a Healthcare Quality, Healthcare Administration, or regulated health profession
• Change Management designation

Hours of Work

Hours of work for this position are 37.5 hours/week.
