Salary $105,672 to $123,196. Psychologists receive an annual terminable allowance from $6,000 to $12,000 depending on education level.

Education Graduation with a master’s degree or doctorate in clinical psychology or equivalent from a recognized post‑secondary institution. Equivalence will be determined by the provincial registration/licensing body.

Occupational certification Registration for autonomous practice of psychology with an unrestricted license by a provincial/territorial regulatory body in the province/territory of intended practice. To be met at the time of appointment.

Experience

  • Significant and recent experience in psycho‑diagnostic assessment services for adults, including differential diagnosis of mental and behavioural disorders.
  • Significant and recent experience in providing cognitive behavioural therapy. Significant experience is defined as a broad range of related activities in an adult mental health care environment typically acquired over about two years. Recent is within the last five years.

Experience

  • Experience working with mental health patients with emphasis on PTSD and trauma.
  • Experience in neuropsychology, rehabilitation, or health psychology.
  • Experience in couples and family therapy.
  • Experience in providing group treatment interventions.

Abilities

  • Ability to deliver psycho‑educational material and training.
