Job description

Saint John Vianney Center (SJVC) is a licensed, psychiatric hospital that provides holistic, residential treatment services for Roman Catholic Priests, Religious men and women, and clergy of other denominations. We aim to treat each individual with a unique plan to address their specific needs. Our caring, compassionate, and professional staff are experienced with the issues and pressures faced by Clergy and Religious. Our patient-centered care and on-site services are key factors for our residents to heal, restore, and renew their physical, behavioral, and spiritual health for return to appropriate, fulfilling, and effective ministry

We are seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Clinical Psychologist. At SJVC we offer a full range of clinical and psychological services, including diagnostic assessments, psychotherapy, consultation, education, leadership, and case management.

Primary Function:

  • Serve as primary therapist for an established number of patients.
  • Facilitates group therapy and performs psychological evaluations.
  • Work effectively with clinical team and contribute to the development of a collaborative approach to treatment.
  • Maintains complete and detailed patient records, meeting all documentation requirements established by federal, state, city, and insurance oversight bodies.

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in clinical psychology.
  • Currently licensed in psychology to practice in Pennsylvania.
  • If not licensed, must have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology and completed a one- year internship program.
  • If licensed, be a member of or willing to become a member of the Psychological Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT).
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Catholic clergy and religious preferred.
  • Familiar with Catholic anthropology and culture.
  • Trauma experience, CBT and CBT-I knowledge base helpful.
