Qualifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills required.
  • Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical therapy.

Job description

Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Clinical Pharmacist to join our amazing teams in Central Alberta. This is a full-time non-dispensing role, which involves working at multiple locations throughout Central Alberta, including: Sundre, Blackfalds, Innisfail, Olds, and Didsbury. Mileage is reimbursed.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities

  • Advance patient care beyond traditional dispensing, through collaborative drug therapy management and innovative clinical initiatives
  • Review patient records to assess the appropriateness of medication therapy
  • Identify health conditions that require attention and refer patients to the appropriate healthcare provider
  • Provide expert consultation on medication dosages, substances, and administration
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of pharmaceutical treatments and adjust as necessary
  • Maintain accurate records of medication plans and patient progress
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively

Qualifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy
  • APA Certification is required
  • Injection certification is required
  • Familiarity with Alberta Pharmacy Professional Services Framework
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills required, with comfort in frequent phone interactions
  • Key attributes include client focus, accuracy, dependability, initiative, strong interpersonal skills, organization, flexibility, and a collaborative team mindset
  • Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical therapy
  • Familiarity with drug administration and health and safety procedures
  • Drug prescription software (Kroll preferred)
