Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Clinical Pharmacist to join our amazing teams in Central Alberta. This is a full-time non-dispensing role, which involves working at multiple locations throughout Central Alberta, including: Sundre, Blackfalds, Innisfail, Olds, and Didsbury. Mileage is reimbursed.
Patient Focused Care Responsibilities
- Advance patient care beyond traditional dispensing, through collaborative drug therapy management and innovative clinical initiatives
- Review patient records to assess the appropriateness of medication therapy
- Identify health conditions that require attention and refer patients to the appropriate healthcare provider
- Provide expert consultation on medication dosages, substances, and administration
- Evaluate the effectiveness of pharmaceutical treatments and adjust as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of medication plans and patient progress
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively
Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy
- APA Certification is required
- Injection certification is required
- Familiarity with Alberta Pharmacy Professional Services Framework
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills required, with comfort in frequent phone interactions
- Key attributes include client focus, accuracy, dependability, initiative, strong interpersonal skills, organization, flexibility, and a collaborative team mindset
- Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical therapy
- Familiarity with drug administration and health and safety procedures
- Drug prescription software (Kroll preferred)
