This position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and is responsible for receiving, preparing and delivery of Rx accurately and timely. Ensuring adequate inventory levels to meet patient’s needs, and counsel with appropriate documentation to all patients. Provide friendly, positive and pro-active interaction with all internal and external customers as well create awareness and educate customers through public relations.

What you'll do:

  1. Counsel of patients in regards to new and additional medications in a friendly, positive and pro-active interaction
  2. Create awareness and educate customers through public relations (public health days, clinics, etc.)
  3. Provide timely and positive resolution to patient’s needs and Doctor’s requests/issues
  4. Provide medication extensions as required and OTC counselling.
  5. Prescribe for minor ailments and chronic disease management.
  6. Perform medication reconciliation, identify and resolve drug related problems, support patient care goals, and perform follow ups when needed.

What you’ll need:

  1. Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy and registered in good standing with ACP
  2. Must have Additional Prescribing Authority (APA)
  3. Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism
  4. Excellent leadership and performance management skills required
  5. Proven ability to build the business using community based marketing strategies
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Strong problem solving skills including the experience formulating and executing action plans
  8. Strong personal computing skills, as well as knowledge of Healthwatch Pharmacy Computer system is essential
