Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist – Urgent and Primary Care
Salary: $107,671 – $134,889 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday – Friday (core hours 9am – 3pm)
Location: Sinclair, Downtown Vancouver – Hybrid (50% in office) & Remote work available. Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway, spring 2027.

About the role
As Clinical Nurse Specialist, Urgent and Primary Care, you will – lead the provision of expert nursing care by functioning as a clinical leader within the specialty area. You utilize advanced and in-depth knowledge and skills, clinical expertise, and advanced judgment in the specialty area to support, consult, educate and facilitate system change. You will provide leadership in development of clinical guidelines and protocols. You provide advanced consultation, leadership and expertise in clinical practice, knowledge transfer through evidence informed best practices, research and education; contributes to positive health outcomes for BC First Nations communities, by working with and supporting nurses, community health workers (CHWs) and communities to meet programming requirements.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have/be –

  • Master’s degree in nursing from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in specific area of practice is required.
  • BCCNM Designation as a Practicing RN
  • Five years of public and/or community health nursing experience, including three years of nursing experience in area of specialty.
  • Teaching and presenting to large and small groups of adult learners
  • Ability to understand, plan, coordinate and deliver CDC public health programs
