Family Medicine & Associates in Grande Prairie seeks a Clinical Health Assistant (CHA) to provide front-line clinical support in a busy clinic. You will greet and room patients, take vitals, review routine screenings, update EMR, and assist with minor procedures under supervision.
The role collaborates with a care team including nurses and a physician lead, with a Monday–Friday 10:00 am–6:00 pm schedule. A Medical Office Assistant diploma and 2+ years of medical office experience are preferred;
Reporting to the Clinic Manager, the Clinical Health Assistant (CHA) is typically the first point of clinical contact for patients and is responsible for providing care and support to patients in the clinical environment, as well as helping them navigate community resources. Similar to that of a Medical Office Assistant, the Clinical Health Assistant (CHA) features an exciting expanded scope aspect to this role as a non-physician practitioner which allows for more training and educational opportunities. The Clinical Health Assistant works collaboratively with other CHAs, their Primary Care Nurse supervisor and a physician lead to manage an assigned panel of patients. This will be a demanding, challenging, and rewarding role within the clinic.
