Job Title: Clinical Educator Location: Central East Ontario (including, but not limited to Pickering, North York, Richmond Hill, Oshawa, etc.) Work Environment: Hybrid – 80% onsite in regional sites
We are currently recruiting a Clinical Educator for Central East Ontario who will play a key role in advancing clinical excellence and workforce capability across an assigned portfolio of Long‑Term Care (LTC) homes. The Clinical Educator role is a hybrid role that combines in‑person education across the assigned LTC homes within their region with administrative responsibilities (e.g. education content development, scheduling). Regular travel throughout the assigned region is an essential requirement. This position requires approximately 80% of working time to be spent onsite within all Long‑Term Care homes across the assigned region. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Clinical Education, the Clinical Educator partners with home and regional leaders as well as frontline teams to deliver standardized, evidence‑informed clinical skills education.
Through onboarding, hands‑on skills training, simulation, coaching, and competency development, the Clinical Educator supports safe practice, staff confidence, and high‑quality, person‑centred resident care. The Clinical Educator also helps translate policies and best practices into everyday practice while contributing to the development, evaluation, and expansion of Extendicare’s clinical education program.
