Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics with accredited internship.
• Registration in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
• Ability to perform duties within the physical demands of the work area.
• Eligible for membership with the Dietitians of Canada.
• Experience with nephrology and diabetes patients is an asset.
• Diabetic Educator certification is a preferred option.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, coordinate, implement and monitor nutrition care for inpatients and outpatients in the nephrology program.
• Provide education and counselling to patients and families on nutrition care plans.
• Liaise with outside agencies for nutrition monitoring upon discharge.
• Develop and update nutrition information materials and teaching aids.
• Maintain and update records of patients in the EMR (EPIC).
• Recommend enteral feedings or supplements as necessary.

The Renfrew Victoria Hospital (RVH) is a 55-bed, fully accredited facility located just 45 minutes west of Ottawa, serving a catchment area of over 60,000. Come join us! We are hiring a new Permanent, Full-Time Dietitian to join our team. This will focus on our nephrology/dialysis patients and inpatients.

Pay Grid: $46.96 - $57.07/hour

Union: Non-Union

Shifts: Day

As part of the dietitian team, your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Assess, plan, coordinate, implement and monitor the nutrition care for inpatients and outpatients of our nephrology program (patients requiring haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis) who require assessment
• Provide education and counselling to patients and families on nutrition care plans
• Liaise with outside agencies for appropriate nutritional monitoring upon discharge.
• Develop and update nutrition information materials and teaching aids
• Maintain and update records of patients seen in our EMR (EPIC)
• Recommend enteral feedings or supplements as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Possess a Baccalaureate Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics with completion of an accredited dietetic internship program
• Registered and in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
• Ability to perform duties within the physical demands of the work area.
