Job summary

Air Liquide Home Healthcare Canada in Edmonton is seeking a Clinical Assistant to perform Sleep Diagnostic testing and collaborate with physicians to ensure patient safety. You will work with clients, referral sources and funding agencies to support high-quality, evidence-based care, and you will assist with equipment setup, education, and ongoing process improvements.

Applicants should have a College Certificate or Diploma in Medical Office Administration or related medical background, plus 1–2

Qualifications

• College Certificate or Diploma in Medical Office Administration or medical background preferred.
• Staff providing diagnostic sleep services (HSAT) are qualified + competent as per provincial regulatory bodies (BC-DAP + AB-CPSA). The successful candidate will be provided education on site.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office, ERP & Google systems with strong data entry skills and selling skills.
• 1-2 years of experience in general office practice

Responsibilities

• The Clinical Assistant provides Sleep Diagnostic testing to the client while collaborating with referring physicians and ensuring patient safety.
• The incumbent will work directly with all clients, referral sources and funding agencies to deliver high quality clinical evidence based care.
• Additionally, the incumbent continuously works on growing the overall business through excellent customer service.
• Conduct appointments and set-up of equipment for sleep diagnostic testing based on American Academy Sleep Medicine (AASM) guidelines.
• Actively promotes related products and provides solutions to client needs.
• Responsible for maintaining most up to date continuing education as related to the position to ensure that clients are receiving most current therapies and devices.
• Recognizes the importance of client safety in the Air Liquide Healthcare organization.
• Responsible for following established company protocols for the cleaning and disinfection of all equipment.
• Responsible for all required administration tasks.
• Ensures quality documentation through completion of all company documentation and forms (both digital and non-electronic) as per policy.
• Maintains client confidentiality and protects Air Liquide Home Healthcare operations by keeping information confidential.
• Seeks to continuously improve the operation of the branch by evaluating processes and workflow, and participating in other quality improvement activities.
• Provides new staff and student instruction, supervision and evaluation when necessary.
• Staff providing diagnostic sleep services (HSAT) are qualified + competent as per provincial regulatory bodies (BC-DAP + AB-CPSA).
