Job summary

Medcan is hiring a Clinic Nurse, RN for our Annual Health Assessment team as part of the Nursing Resource Team (NRT) in a 12-month fixed-term, full-time position. The role is based at our Toronto clinic (150 York St.) with flexibility to work at other Medcan locations as needed.

Ideal candidates are experienced, adaptable, and client-focused, able to collaborate across clinical departments, and maintain high standards of nursing practice and client experience.

Qualifications

• RN in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• 1–5 years nursing experience.
• Nursing experience in primary care or acute care preferred.
• Publicly funded vaccine schedule knowledge is an asset.
• Current CPR/BCLS certification.
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, electronic).
• Experience in travel health, occupational health or pediatric nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, client-centered nursing care across Medcan clinic locations and clinical departments.
• Provide immunization education and administration per Ontario schedule.
• Review pre-screening information and complete nursing assessments for vaccination planning.
• Educate clients on immunizations, outcomes, adverse reactions, and post-care.
• Recognize and respond to adverse reactions or medical emergencies in the clinic.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical teams to ensure safe, efficient care.
• Monitor and support client flow for a timely clinic experience.
• Provide nursing support across Medcan programs such as Annual Health Assessment, Year-Round Care, Pediatrics, immunizations, and other services as needed.
• Adapt to different clinic environments while maintaining nursing standards.
