Job summary

Concert Properties is seeking a Climate Reporting Analyst Intern to support ESG initiatives in a real estate context. The role involves documenting reporting processes, migrating historical energy and emissions data to a new software platform, and testing workflows for the 2027 reporting cycle.

You will work closely with the ESG team and Digital Technology, gaining hands-on experience in climate reporting operations, data governance, and assurance preparation within BC's real estate sector.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated interest in sustainability, greenhouse gas emissions management, and the role of business in creating positive social and environmental impact.
  • Familiarity with energy and emissions standards and disclosure protocols, including the GHG Protocol.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, with experience using Word and PowerPoint considered an asset.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high quality work, including thorough self-review.
  • Strong team player, with willingness to assist others as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the upload, organization and validation of historical utility, energy, emissions and related data into the new software platform.
  • Coordinating with Digital Technology and ESG team members to identify data gaps and ensure historical records are reflected in the new system.
  • Testing reporting processes and system outputs to support third-party assurance readiness ahead of the 2027 reporting season, including issue identification and evidence preparation.

Job description

The Climate Reporting Analyst Intern would support advancing our purpose by strengthening the systems, processes and data foundations that enable accurate, consistent and assurance-ready climate and sustainability reporting. This internship offers hands‑on experience in climate reporting operations, carbon data management, software implementation, process documentation and assurance preparation within a real estate context.

Reporting to the Manager, Environmental Sustainability, this role will work closely with the ESG team and Digital Technology to document reporting processes, support the transition of historical Scope 1 and 2 energy, emissions and water data into our new software system, and help test reporting workflows ahead of the 2027 reporting cycle.

Key Responsibilities
The Climate Reporting Analyst Intern will support the ESG team by:
  • Developing and documenting standard operating procedures for climate reporting, building practical experience in process mapping, reporting controls, data governance and quality assurance.
  • Working with the Manager, Environmental Sustainability to map key reporting workflows, roles, responsibilities, timelines, controls and review points.
  • Supporting the upload, organization and validation of historical utility, energy, emissions and related sustainability data into our new software platform.
  • Coordinating with Digital Technology and ESG team members to identify data gaps, resolve inconsistencies and confirm that historical records are accurately reflected in the new system.
  • Testing reporting processes and system outputs to support third-party assurance readiness ahead of the 2027 reporting season, including issue identification, evidence preparation and recommended improvements.
  • Preparing clear documentation, summaries and status updates to support effective handover and ongoing process improvement.

Term, Compensation and Location
  • Applications are due August 7, 2026.
  • This four-month full-time internship will run from September 8 to December 18, 2026.
  • Compensation is based on the living wage in British Columbia: $27.85 per hour.
  • This role is based out of the Concert Properties Vancouver office.
