CACEIS is the asset servicing banking group of Crédit Agricole and Santander, dedicated to asset managers, insurance companies, pension funds, banks, private equity and real estate funds, brokers, and corporate clients. With offices across Europe, North and South America, and Asia, CACEIS offers a broad range of services including execution, clearing, forex, securities lending, custody, depositary, fund administration, fund distribution support, middle office outsourcing, and issuer services.

Team 1 – Activities include global markets settlement operations such as correcting instructions with wrong data or format, following settlement processes with local custodians, and resolving breaks reported from counterparts and local agents.

Team 2 – Handles all corporate action workflows for the Americas region (North and South), including election, announcement, and payment processes.

Must have skills:

  • Ideally 18+ months of experience in financial services within back-office operations, settlement, or corporate actions.
  • Securities knowledge, possibly from CSC or banking industry experience.
  • Proven track record in client request management.
  • Knowledge of SWIFT message types (especially 56X, 54X) is a plus.
  • French language skills are a plus.

Role Responsibilities:

The CSO represents the company department to clients and should be thoroughly trained on all activities managed at Custody Services Canada. Main duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Building and maintaining good client relationships and understanding their needs.
  • Training new team members on procedures.
  • Updating and reviewing client information, including sensitive data such as quality level requirements, workflow management, and technical documentation.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of services to provide accurate information to clients.
  • Handling all client requests promptly (within 2 hours).
  • Participating in process improvements to adapt internal tools to meet client expectations.

Custody: Settlement

  • Chasing brokers/clients on issues/discrepancies in transactions.
  • Analyzing and investigating pending issues or breaks across markets, with extensive knowledge of US, CA, and LATAM markets.
  • Managing incoming queries from counterparts and clients.
  • Releasing instructions on the market respecting treasury cut-offs.
  • Mitigating risks, placing partial instructions, and executing recalls when necessary.
