Job summary

Educators Financial Group seeks a proactive Client Services Representative to support our CAST and client base. You will engage with clients, resolve inquiries, and identify sales opportunities while coordinating with Certified Financial Planner professionals.

Reporting to the Manager, Sales Support, you will handle administrative tasks, document processing, and contribute to a collaborative, growth-oriented workplace with hybrid work options near our Head Office.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of client services experience in financial services or a sales environment.
  • Completion or working towards CSC or IFC certification.
  • Post-secondary education in financial services or related discipline.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

  • Initiating contact to engage proactively with clients/prospects to expand relationships.
  • Taking inbound calls and assisting clients with financial solutions and resolving concerns.
  • Build positive rapport and maintain client relationships independently and with the team.
  • Provide administrative support to CFP professionals and Senior Financial Advisors, prep files, schedule appointments, and document meetings.
  • Prepare and submit documentation of financial/non-financial transactions, ensuring timely processing.
  • Process trades inbox and client instructions while adhering to compliance controls.

Compensation and benefits packages include:

  • Annual salary (hiring range): $50,000 - $55,000 (subject to the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications and skills), plus annual Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP)bonus.
  • Health Benefits Plan, including Extended Health, Dental & Vision coverage, Basic Life Insurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Benefits and Employee Assistance Programs. Premiums are paid by the company, with the exception of LTD premium.
  • Defined benefit pension plan, with the company’s contribution ranging from 6% to 8% to provide employeeswith a predictable lifetime retirement income, survivor benefits, early retirement options.
  • Hybrid work environment for those who live within 50km of our Head Office. Remote arrangements can be made for those living farther away, with some exceptions.

About the Role

We’re seeking a proactive and passionate Client Services Representative to provide administrative support to our Client Advisory Services Team (CAST) and our clients. The position will report to the Manager, Sales Support Team.

Through listening, problem solving and offering solutions, this role will be critical in helping to build, enhance and protect client relationships. You will also proactively identify sales opportunities, including cross-selling to other divisions within Educators Financial Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiating contact to engage proactively with clients/prospects through various communication channels, to begin or expand on existing relationships using existing contact programs.
  • Taking inbound calls with a focus on helping clients when they need us most, by responding empathetically to a variety of questions, assisting with financial solutions, and resolving client concerns at first point of contact.
  • Building a positive rapport and maintaining client relationships while working independently and as part of the team.
  • Providing centralized administrative support to Certified Financial Planner professionals and/or Senior Financial Advisors including but not limited to, preparing files prior to submitting to the compliance department, scheduling and confirming appointments, and compiling client meeting documentation.
  • Preparing and submitting documentation of financial/non-financial transactions, ensuring accurate completion and timely processing.
  • Processing trades inbox and incoming client instructions while managing risks by adhering to compliance routines, processes, and controls to protect client.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of client services experience, ideally in a financial services or sales environment.
  • Completion or working towards completing the CSC or IFC certification.
  • Post-secondary education in financial services or a related discipline.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts to meet clients’ needs within business operating hours.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Knowledge of French is an asset.
