Job summary

BFL CANADA in Waterloo, Ontario is hiring a Client Service Representative to manage a profitable book of business and service client needs in a dynamic team environment.

You will handle renewals, prepare proposals, coordinate with insurers and clients, and support upsell opportunities while maintaining accurate records and timely receivables. A minimum of three years’ industry experience and strong MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years industry related experience.
• Good knowledge of markets and their policy wordings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well independently, as part of a team.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Good knowledge of Broker Portals, EPIC, CSR 24 and CompuQuote is an asset.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Customer focused and service oriented.
• High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage renewal book of business including identifying opportunities to upsell and cross sell in support of growth initiatives.
• Request and follow up with insurers and/or clients for outstanding information, endorsements or policy documentation.
• Prepare proposals for renewals and new business.
• Respond to telephone calls and written inquiries from clients and underwriters.
• Negotiating with Insurers and/or changes, renewals and new business where applicable.
• Review policy wordings and other documentation for accuracy and completeness and as required, notes and corrects errors.
• Create abeyance and follow up for outstanding items from underwriters, markets and clients.
• Market own new business and renewals when necessary
• Issue Certificates of Insurance, Pink Slips and other documentation as required on your book as well as supporting the team when required
• Create and manage Financing Contracts/Payment options for clients
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding client’s receivables.
• Responsible for monthly Bordeaux, where required
• Invoice and manage receivables.
• Other miscellaneous duties and special projects as required.

Your day as a client service representative

The expected salary for this role ranges from $65,000 to $75,000. Annual salary will be determined by factors including prior experience, location, business segment, and relevance of the candidate’s skills to the role.
