(CSJ) is a program under the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS), which aims to provide quality summer employment opportunities for youth to develop skills and gain paid work experience to successfully transition into the labour market.

Eligibility:
  • be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period
  • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment,
  • have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations

Responsibilities:
  1. Assign client visits to nurses and home support workers, considering geography, client needs, and care continuity, following guidelines and procedures.
  2. Handle activities like receiving and processing referrals, responding to inquiries, scheduling changes, and administrative duties.
  3. Collaborate with team members and management to ensure staffing levels meet service quality standards and forecast weekly needs.
  4. Support clients, nurses, and support workers to ensure quality care delivery.
  5. Work efficiently in a fast-paced setting with shifting priorities and meet scheduling deadlines.
  6. Protect confidential information related to clients, staff, and operations.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required
Working Conditions:

This role requires attention to detail in a dynamic environment, involving physical activities such as lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements emphasizing proper body mechanics. The role involves walking, sitting, standing, and climbing stairs, with some tasks requiring fine hand movements.
